What do we all do to keep ourselves ? We do not eat
junk foods. What do we all do to keep ourselves fit? We do , , aerobics or
any kind of exercise. What do we all do to maintain our hair? .................
No answer!
Here’s the answer. Our body is just like a robot, it doesn’t know what is right
for us or what is wrong for us.
We are its whole and sole commander. And, as the saying goes, “we reap
what we sow”. If we eat healthy, we feel healthy, if we eat unhealthy, we feel unhealthy.
In similar ways, if we nourish our hair properly the result will always be fruitful.

Proper hair care will lead to healthier and better looking hair. Bad hair care will
lead to breakage, frizzles, split ends, dull hair, and early hair loss. It can
be your shining glory or the bane of your existence. Whatever you feel about your
hair, chances are you want it to be healthy.
Get to know more about varied hair types and some natural ways on how to treat your
hair.
To figure out your hair type:
Dab a tissue on your scalp the second day after wash. If it has an oil blot, you
have normal hair. If the tissue shows nothing, it is dry. If strands stick to each
other then it is greasy hair.

What is my Hair Type?
|
Many people talk about their hair types when it comes to like having
3C or a 4A hair type. What is this number game actually? I cleared my concept by
following this chart because there are hair types within hair types which we are
unaware of.
The letters a, b and c after the number tell you how thick the hair strand is. a
is the thinnest and c is the thickest. One would think the thicker the strand the
less fragile the hair. But, actually type 4c hair can be the most fragile because
of the curl pattern and the dryness of the hair.
In analysing hair some elements like Texture, Elasticity, Density, Porosity and
wave or curl pattern should be considered because it help to determined hair types.
Hair texture can be classified as fine, coarse and medium.
|
Hair elasticity is how far your hair can stretch, healthy hair can stretch up to
50% and dry or damaged hair stretch like 20%. Hair elasticity is classified as high,
normal and low.
Hair density is the total amount of hair strand on the head, and in a human is about
100,000 to 150,000 hairs. It’s classified as thin, medium and thick, if hair is
thick then its high in density. Porosity in hair is the ability or capacity for
it to absorb moisture. Hair with high porosity absorbs moisture more easily than
hair with low porosity and hair with low porosity is harder to process and can resist
perms or colours. Wave pattern is classified as straight, slightly curly, very curly
and tightly coiled. Race and ethnicity are not important in analysing hair.
